Study: 1 in 25 Death Row Prisoners Innocent

A new study says about one in 25 people sentenced to death in the United
States is innocent. The National Academy of Sciences looked at data over
three decades. 340 people were wrongfully sentenced to die — more
than double the number of death-row prisoners exonerated over the same
time period.
