Afghan Presidential Candidate Survives Assassination Bid

In Afghanistan, the frontrunner in the president race has survived an
assassination attempt in Kabul. Two explosions went off as Abdullah
Abdullah was leaving a campaign event. Six people were killed, including
a bodyguard and police officer.
