Microsoft Fires 14% of Workforce

Microsoft is firing 18,000 workers, about 14 percent of its workforce.
The cuts are the largest in Microsoft's history and among the largest in
the history of the tech industry. Most cuts involve the Nokia cellphone
unit which Microsoft bought in April.
