Australia Suffers Hottest Year on Record

While the United States freezes, Australia has been suffering a blazing
heatwave that saw temperatures hovering around 50 degrees Celsius -–
or 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Last year was Australia's hottest year on
record. Recently elected Prime Minister Tony Abbott has eliminated
Australia's Climate Change Commission and vowed to undo measures to
reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
