AP: States Confirm Oil, Gas Drilling Contaminates Well Water

The Associated Press reports a number of U.S. states have confirmed oil
and gas drilling is polluting well water. The report examined four
states that have received hundreds of complaints. In Pennsylvania, for
example, authorities have confirmed more than 100 cases of drilling
contaminating private wells since 2005. The state received nearly 400
complaints about contamination last year alone, down from nearly 500 in
2012.
