13 Dead, Half a Million Without Power in Winter Storm Across Eastern U.S.

At least 13 people have died and more than 550,000 have lost power in a
massive snow and ice storm across the eastern United States. The
National Weather Service calls the storm "an event of historical
proportions." Governors have declared states of emergencies from
Louisiana to New Jersey.
