Obama: Gaza Blockade Cannot Continue Indefinitely

A key Palestinian demand for a long-term truce is an easing of the
crippling blockade of Gaza. On Wednesday, President Obama acknowledged
the blockade cannot continue indefinitely, saying "Gaza cannot sustain
itself permanently closed off from the world."

President Obama: We’re going to have to see a shift in opportunity for
the people of Gaza. I have no sympathy for Hamas. I have great sympathy
for ordinary people who are struggling within Gaza."
