Bank of America Agrees to Pay Record $17 Billion over Toxic Mortgages

Bank of America has agreed to pay nearly $17 billion to settle a probe
over its sale of toxic mortgage-backed securities that fueled the
financial crisis. It is the largest corporate settlement with the
federal government in U.S. history.
