Turkish PM Erdogan Wins Presidential Election

In Turkey, Prime Minsiter Recep Tayyip Erdogan has won the country's
first direct popular election for president. Erdogan has run Turkey for
over a decade as prime minister but was due to hit a term limit next
year. He is expected to seek an expansion of the presidential role. Last
year, massive protests swept Turkey accusing Erdogan of authoritarian
rule.
