European Parliament Votes to Adopt Net Neutrality

In a victory for advocates of an open Internet, the European Parliament
has voted in favor of net neutrality, the principle of equal treatment
for all Internet traffic. The decision comes ahead of talks with the
European Union member states on an overhaul of regulations for the
telecommunications industry.
