Youngest Person to Be Prosecuted for Terrorism in U.S. Gets 5-Year Sentence

The youngest person ever to be prosecuted on terrorism charges in the
United States has been sentenced to five years in prison for his role in
an online conspiracy to kill a Swedish artist. Mohammad Hassan Khalid
was just 15 years old and living in Maryland when he began chatting
online with a woman known as Jihad Jane, who is now serving a 10-year
sentence for her role in the plot. Khalid's attorneys had argued for
leniency, saying his age and other factors made him vulnerable.
