Gulf Coast Braces for Tropical Storm Karen

In the Gulf Coast, residents are bracing for the arrival of Tropical
Storm Karen, which could bring bracing winds and more than eight inches
of rain. A hurricane watch is in effect and governors in Florida,
Louisiana and Mississippi have declared states of emergency. The White
House says at least some FEMA workers are being recalled from furlough
to cope with the storm.
