Obama Calls on Congress to Pass Immigration Reform, Farm Bill

President Obama blasted Republicans over the government shutdown
Thursday, saying it had damaged the credibility of the United States and
"encouraged our enemies." He urged Republicans to negotiate with
Democrats on a number of stalled legislative efforts.

President Obama: "Passing a budget, immigration reform, farm bill
— those are three specific things that would make a huge
difference in our economy right now. And we could get them done by the
end of the year, if our focus is on what's good for the American
people."
