18 Arrested in Seattle May Day Protests

In the largest confrontation between protesters and police on May Day,
at least 18 people were arrested in Seattle. Some demonstrators broke
windows and threw rocks, bottles and metal pipes, while police used
pepper spray and flash bombs. Scores of demonstrators and officers were
injured. It was the second consecutive year of May Day clashes in
Seattle.
