White House Seeks Revival of Media Shield Law

Amidst allegations of violating press freedom in pursuing the Associated
Press, the Obama administration announced Wednesday it has asked
Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York to reintroduce federal shield
law legislation to protect the media from subpoenas.
