New Jersey Becomes 2nd State to Ban Anti-Gay "Conversion" Therapy

New Jersey has become the second state in the country to ban so-called
conversion therapy purportedly aimed at turning LGBT teenagers straight.
Gov. Chris Christie signed the bill into law Monday, citing widespread
evidence of the treatment's harmful effects, including depression and
suicide. Critics say the so-called therapy shames LGBT teens and amounts
to child abuse.
