U.S. Embassy in Yemen Remains Closed; 18 Other Posts Reopen

The United States has reopened 18 of the 19 diplomatic posts in the
Middle East and Africa that were shuttered for the past week due to an
alleged al-Qaeda threat. The U.S. embassy in Yemen will remain closed,
as will the U.S. consulate in Lahore, Pakistan, which was closed late
last week due to an unrelated threat.
