Syrian Prime Minister Survives Assassination Attempt

Syria’s prime minister has survived an apparent assassination attempt
after a car bomb detonated near his convoy in a neighborhood of the
capital Damascus. Prime Minister Wael Nader Al-Halqi was reportedly
unhurt. The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a
bodyguard was killed in the attack.
