Obama to Tap Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx for Transportation Post

President Obama is reportedly planning to nominate Charlotte Mayor
Anthony Foxx to succeed Ray La Hood as secretary of transportation. Foxx
would be the first African American nominated for Obama's second-term
Cabinet. He has sought to expand public transit as mayor of Charlotte
and was in the national spotlight last year when the city hosted the
Democratic National Convention.
