Ecuador Seeks U.K. Assurance of Assange Safe Passage for Hospital Treatment

Ecuador has asked the British government to assure the safe passage of
Wiki Leaks founder Julian Assange should he require medical treatment in
a hospital. On Wednesday, an Ecuadorean diplomat said that concerns have
been raised about Assange's health that may require medical attention.
Assange has taken refuge in the Ecuadorean embassy in London in a bid to
avoid extradition to Sweden, and ultimately, he says, to the United
States.
