October 17, 2012 Appeals Court Won't Review Florida Voter Purge Case Until After Election ------------------------------------------------------------------------- In news affecting another battleground state, a federal appeals court has decided not to rule on a challenge to Florida's plan to purge nearly 200 voters from the rolls until after the election. Florida had initially claimed to have identified nearly 200,000 possible non-citizen voters, but that number was downgraded to about 2,600. Officials now say they have identified 198 people who are non-citizens. .
