Workers, Supporters Stage Protests at Wal-Mart Stores Nationwide

Historic protests struck the retail giant Wal-Mart nationwide on Black
Friday — the day after Thanksgiving, the busiest shopping day of
the year. Wal-Mart workers and their supporters demonstrated at around
thousand stores in 100 cities across the United States demanding
improvements to wages and working conditions. The protests were
organized in part by OUR Walmart, an organization led by Wal-Mart
workers and backed by the United Food & Commercial Workers International
Union.
