Egyptians Protest New Powers for Morsi

Protests have erupted in Egypt over President Mohammed Morsi's
self-appointment of wide-ranging powers and protections from judicial
review or oversight late last week. On Sunday, security forces fired
tear gas at hundreds of protesters in and around Tahrir Square in the
country’s capital, Cairo. More than 500 people have been injured in
clashes between police and protesters since the decree was issued.
