November 12, 2012 Supreme Court to Review Key Provision of Landmark Voting Rights Act -------------------------------------------------------------------- The Supreme Court has announced it will hear a challenge to a key provision of the landmark Voting Rights Act of 1965. The case centers on a section of the law that requires many state and local governments with a history of voting-related discrimination to get federal approval before altering voting procedures.
