Civilian Deaths Drop in Afghanistan for 1st Time in 5 Years

New figures show civilian deaths in Afghanistan are showing at least a
temporary decline for the first time in five years. According to the
United Nations, killings of civilians dropped 21 percent in the first
four months of the year. Last year was the deadliest on record for
civilians in the more than decade-long Afghan war.
