Vermont Set to Become 1st State to Ban Fracking

Vermont is poised to become the first U.S. state to ban the natural gas
drilling practice of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking. The Vermont
legislature has sent a measure imposing the ban to Gov. Peter Shumlin,
who is expected to sign it into law.
