Record-Setting Heat Wave in Eastern U.S.

Power grids were further strained as a heat wave from the Great Plains
to the mid-Atlantic brought record temperatures. More than two dozen
cities across 10 states set or tied all-time highs, including 106
degrees in Atlanta and 104 degrees in Charlotte.
