Cold Spell Linked to Climate Change Kills Over 300 in Europe

At least 300 people have died in Europe due to unusually cold weather.
Hardest hit has been Ukraine where at least 131 people have did —
mostly people are homeless. The bitter cold has stretched as far south
as Algeria where 16 people have died in weather-related accidents. Some
climate scientists say the massive cold spell is linked to the melting
of the Arctic sea ice.
