February 23, 2012 Former U.S. Resident Jailed at Gitmo Reaches Plea Deal ------------------------------------------------------- A former U.S. resident imprisoned at a Guantánamo Bay has reached a plea deal that positions him to testify against other prisoners in exchange for a reduced sentence and eventual release. Majid Khan was seized in Pakistan in March 2003 and spent around three years in CIA prisons overseas. His plea deal marks the first for a high-level prisoner held at the CIA's so-called "black sites." Khan has agreed to testify at military commissions over the next four years, after which he will become eligible for transfer to Pakistan. .
