Afghan Soldier Kills 2 U.S. Troops as Koran Protests Intensify 
---------------------------------------------------------------



Violent protests are escalating in Afghanistan over the recent burning
of copies of the Koran by NATO troops. Earlier today, an Afghan soldier
shot dead two U.S. soldiers at a military base in eastern Afghanistan.
The shooting came as protesters stormed the base as part of a third
consecutive day of protest.
