Syria: 12 Killed in Homs as Red Cross Pushes for Ceasefire

The International Committee of the Red Cross is negotiating with Syrian
authorities and opposition fighters on a ceasefire to bring humanitarian
aid to civilians trapped by the violence. Syrian activists say at least
12 people have been killed by Syrian troops in the city of Homs.
Meanwhile, Syrian forces opened fire earlier today on demonstrators in
Damascus.
