Mass Protests Expected in Egypt; Demonstrators Attacked in Tahrir Square

Egypt is bracing for new protests today over President Mohamed Morsi's
hotly contested effort to hold a referendum on a controversial draft
constitution. Ahead of today's rallies, masked gunmen attacked
opposition protesters camped out in Cairo's Tahrir Square overnight,
injuring more than a dozen.
