Ethiopian Prime Minister, U.S. Ally Meles Zenawi Dies at 57

Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi has died of an undisclosed illness
while seeking medical treatment abroad. The 57-year-old Meles was as a
key U.S. government ally in Africa who had been criticized for his
record on human rights and accused of killing opponents and rigging
elections. Meles' deputy prime minister will be sworn in to replace him.
