Fatal Car Bombings Close One of Iraq’s Deadliest Months Since U.S. Withdrawal

At least 19 people were killed and more than 50 wounded in Iraq on
Tuesday when two car bombs exploded in Baghdad. The bombings were
followed by a suicide attack on a police station in an attempt to free
al-Qaeda-linked prisoners. Iraq is coming off one of its deadliest
months since the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops, with at least 237
people killed and 603 wounded.
