April 27, 2012 U.S. and Japan Reach Okinawa Deal to Decrease Military Presence ---------------------------------------------------------------- The United States and Japan have finalized a deal that will scale back the U.S. military presence on the island of Okinawa by relocating soldiers to other Asia-Pacific bases.
