Supreme Court Rejects Bid by Nigerians to Hold Chevron Accountable for Murders

The U.S. Supreme Court has turned away an appeal by Nigerians seeking to
hold Chevron accountable for the 1998 murder of protesters in the Niger
Delta. The action comes a week after the high court ruled that
corporations cannot be sued under the 1991 Torture Victim Protection
Act.
