United Nations to Probe Plight of Native Americans

The United Nations is launching its first ever investigation into the
plight of Native Americans living in the United States. James Anaya, the
UN special rapporteur on indigenous peoples, is expected to begin the
probe today. In 2010, the United States signed the U.N. Declaration on
the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
