Alabama: Federal Court Blocks Elements of Controversial Anti-Immigrant Law

In news from Alabama, a federal appeals court has blocked enforcement of
parts of the state's controversial anti-immigrant law that has already
forced thousands of undocumented immigrants, primarily Latino, to flee
the state. One provision temporarily blocked allowed state and local
officials to check the immigration status of public school students.
