Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega Poised For Re-Election

Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega appears headed for a landslide
re-election victory. Early results show the Sandinista leader received
more than 60 percent of the votes. Since taking office in 2007, Ortega
has vastly expanded Nicaragua's anti-poverty programs and has boosted
spending on health and education programs.
