Over 4,000 March to Protest Controversial Latin American Military Training Base in Georgia

At least 4,000 protesters marched outside Fort Benning in Georgia
calling for the closing of the controversial training base for soldiers
from Latin American military forces, formerly known as the School of the
Americas. Organizers said they wanted to, "transform Fort Benning from a
place that trains assassins into a place of memory and nonviolent
resistance."
