U.S. Multinationals Cut Hundreds of Thousands of American Jobs While Hiring Millions of Workers Abroad

Newly released data from the U.S. Department of Commerce confirms
U.S.-based multinationals have been slashing jobs at home while hiring
millions of workers overseas. The Wall Street Journal reports between
1999 and 2009, U.S. multinationals cut payrolls at home by 864,000.
Meanwhile, they added 2.9 million workers abroad.
