Video Shows Oakland Authorities Beating Iraq War Veteran During Occupy Oakland Protest

In other news from California, the Guardian newspaper has obtained video
showing an police officer beating an Iraq War veteran during a protest
in Oakland last month. The veteran, Kayvan Sabehgi, was beaten on the
same day another Iraq War veteran protester, Scott Olsen, suffered a
fractured skull after being shot in the head by a police projectile. In
the video, Sabehgi does not appear to be posing any threat, nor does he
attempt to resist. After the police beating, the 32-year-old Kayvan
Sabehgi was hospitalized and held in the intensive care unit with a
lacerated spleen.
