Bahrain Authorities Bulldoze Shiite Mosques in Nationwide Crackdown

Mc Clatchy Newspapers reports authorities in Bahrain have bulldozed
dozens of Shiite mosques and other religious structures as part of a
nationwide crackdown on Shiite dissidents. Shiites comprise about 70
percent of Bahrain's population but are excluded from top government and
security posts. The Obama administration has said nothing in public
about the destruction of the mosques.
