New York City Mayor Bloomberg Set to Lay Off More than 4,000 Teachers

In education news, New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg has announced plans to
reduce the number of teachers in the city by more than 6,000. On Friday,
Bloomberg said 4,100 teachers would be laid off. Another 2,000 teachers
are resigning or retiring.
