May 9, 2011 Obama: Bin Laden Had “Support Network” Inside Pakistan ----------------------------------------------------------- Tension between Pakistan and the United States continues to rise following the U.S. killing of Osama bin Laden. On Sunday, President Obama appeared on CBS's 60 Minutes and said bin Laden had some sort of a support network inside Pakistan. President Barack Obama: “But we don't know who or what that support network was. We don't know whether there might have been some people inside of government, people outside of government. And that's something that we have to investigate and, more importantly, the Pakistani government has to investigate.” Over the weekend, the Obama administration demanded Pakistan allow U.S. investigators access to bin Laden's three widows who were at the bin Laden compound last week. .
