Nearly all of the deceased were found decapitated. According to Guatemalan media outlets, the ranch belonged to a brother of one of the country’s most notorious drug lords. Authorities believe the killing may have been carried out by Los Zetas, a paramilitary Mexican drug gang that now operates in Central America as well. .
