Pakistani Minister Who Opposed Blasphemy Laws Slain

A Pakistani cabinet member has been assassinated in the capital of
Islamabad. Minorities Minister Shahbaz Bhatti was ambushed by gunmen
while driving to work earlier today. Bhatti had been a vocal critic of
blasphemy laws that impose the death penalty for insulting Islam.
