July 14, 2011 18 Killed in Mumbai Bombings ----------------------------- At least 18 people have been killed in a series of blasts in the Indian city of Mumbai. It was the deadliest attack on the city since 166 were killed in a 2008 mass shooting. Indian officials have blamed the Pakistan-based militant group, Lashkar-e-Taiba. Mumbai Police Commissioner Aru Patnaik urged residents to maintain calm. Aru Patnaik: "We have put the entire city on red alert; different areas have been cordoned off. Sealing has been done. I would like to take this opportunity to appeal to everyone to keep calm. It is very unfortunate incident." .
