Peru Recognizes Palestinian State in Occupied Territories 
----------------------------------------------------------



Peru has become the latest Latin American country to recognize an
independent Palestinian state in the Occupied Territories. On Monday,
Peru followed recent decisions by Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and
Uruguay to recognize an independent Palestine in the West Bank and Gaza
Strip.
