Satellite Images Indicate Nigerian Oil Spill May Be Significantly Larger Than Previously Reported

Evidence is emerging the oil spill off the coast of Nigeria may be
significantly larger than reported. Royal Dutch Shell has publicly said
less than 40,000 barrels, or 1.7 million gallons, have leaked. But
satellite images from the environmental group Sky Truth show as much as
2.4 million gallons of oil have spilled.
